Arts and Crafts Restoration - Harrogate, North Yorkshire

This fantastic three acre garden is set within the grounds of an historic Arts and Crafts property, nestled in the ancient woodland of the Nidd Gorge, Harrogate.

Taken on as a design and evolve project, the brief was an especially interesting one, the property having recently been fully and lovingly restored back to its original glory.

Passionate about wildlife and habitat creation, the client wanted a garden that both welcomed nature and wildlife whilst complimenting the original Arts and Crafts style features of the garden. A fusion of naturalistic, cottage and formal styles emphasises a harmony between house and garden and the countryside beyond.

This is an on-going project that will eventually encompass the entire three acre site. In this initial phase the client wanted to focus on the area around the house. As building work is ongoing we were happy to create an area of sanctuary for the clients to relax in away from the noise and the dust!
